Following in the footsteps of Challenger’s successful portrayals of other Southern Pacific classes, we are pleased to announce our latest project, cab forward classes AC-7 and AC-8. Although built in the 1930’s, our models will portray these magnificent locomotives as they appeared after World War II, but sufficiently prior to the end of their service so that they were not yet stripped down shells that left their former glory as not more than a memory.
As with our prior Southern Pacific projects, two of the locomotives will represent Northern District service and two of the models will represent prototypes characteristic of the Southern District.
