Pennsylvania Railroad Class P82R coaches were originally delivered by the Budd Company to the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1939. These chair cars continued their service into the 1960's albeit with simplified styling later in their lives. These coaches found significant use throughout the system and appeared in many trains in which extra capacity was needed on a periodic basis.
