ALCO RS-2's, RSC-2's, RS-3's and RSD-5's

Challenger Imports is pleased to announce our forthcoming production of a very special group of Alco locomotives. Included are RS-2's, RSC-2's, RS-3's, and RSD-5's. In the prototype, they served as yard switchers, road switchers, freight haulers, and passenger movers. They operated singly and in multiple unit lash-ups.

2535.1 UP Alco RS-2. Equipped for road service. Snow plow.
2536.1 UP Alco RSC-2. Equipped with train indicators, class lights, and plow.
2537.1 Milw Alco RSC-2. As these locomotives appeared in the '50's.
2538.1 GN Alco RS-3. Modified version with side access ladders, class lights, and train indicators. MU stand. Extended exhaust parallel to length of locomotive.
2539.1 GN Alco RS-3. Modified version with side access ladders, class lights, and train indicators. MU stand. Extended exhaust 90 degrees to locomotive length.
2540.1 CRI&P Alco RS-3. Red, black, and white paint. Silver trucks. Steam generator.
2541.1 SP&S Alco RS-3. Locomotives #83 and #84 as they were acquired from the Great Northern. Green and yellow tiger stripes.
2542.1 SP&S Alco RS-3. As delivered by Alco directly to SP&S. Green and yellow tiger stripes, maroon cab roof.
2543.1 NP Alco RS-3. A standard version locomotive with class lights, train indicators, and a steam engine bell.
2544.1 C&NW Alco RS-3. In its as delivered appearance with chevron striped front end.
2545.1 C&NW Alco RSD-5. As delivered, also with a chevron striped front end.
2546.1 NYC Alco RS-3. As delivered with class lights and the classic lightening stripe paint scheme.
2547.1 New Haven Alco RS-3. With road typical features of the 1950's.
2548.1 AT&SF Alco RSD-5. Painted in the classic black and silver zebra stripe. As built locomotive with class lights and extended exhaust stack.
2549.1 AT&SF Alco RSD-5. Painted in the blue and yellow "bookend" scheme. Built with class lights, extended exhaust stacks and radio antenna platforms.
2550.1 SP Alco RSD-5. With black and orange tiger stripe, train indicators applied.
2551.1 SP Alco RSD-5. Black and orange tiger stripes, large "ash can" head lights, and large can type spark arrester, train indicators.
2552.1 SP Alco RSD-5. Black Widow paint, "ash can" head lights and large can type spark arrester, train indicators.
2553.1 SP Alco RSD-5. Black Widow paint. Late style "Pyle Gyralite" light package, train indicators, class lights.
2554.1 SP Alco RSD-5. Later scarlet and gray paint scheme. "Pyle Gyralite" light package, train indicators, class lights.
